Step 1
Each trainee completes a short assessment without AI, against criteria agreed with your firm.
Step 2
Identify the issues, outline the analysis, then compare with an AI answer and spot its errors.
Step 3
Trainees get instant feedback. You see each trainee's progress against their baseline, plus cohort results.
Launching December 2026
Firms with priority access have their first cohorts onboarded at launch, with drills, baselines and reporting set up around their trainee programme.
Request priority accessThat's what it's built for. Trainees build judgement by doing the reasoning themselves, and that's exactly what AI shortcuts take away. Primary Source gives them structured, regular practice and measures it, so you see each trainee's progress against their baseline.
No. Drills are built on fictional matters written for the purpose, so no client data, privileged material or firm documents are needed. We collect only what's needed to report results, and walk through data handling with your IT and risk teams before onboarding.
One 15–20 minute drill a week per trainee, which fits around seat work. The baseline and progress assessments take a little longer.
It works alongside them. Your AI training teaches trainees to use the tools; Primary Source builds the judgement they need to supervise, check and challenge what those tools produce.
